If you are at all interested in the world of knitting or crochet, I hope you have already heard of the amazing Ravelry. Knowing that I’m part of the best web community out there, and that most tech geeks probably don’t even know it is pretty cool, so I wanted to have a nice big Ravelry button to link to my profile. While I was making it, it occurred to me that it might be neat to be able to offer your readers a link to the RSS feed of your profile page. I don’t suppose many people are aware that you can do this, but it’s a great feature! Another huge thumbs up to Casey and Jess!
These were all made with Inkscape. I thought drop shadows looked a bit messy at smaller sizes, so I didn’t add any, but if anyone wants them, I can make some versions with drop shadows too.
The .zip file includes:
- Round icons in .png format, in 7 sizes.
- Round feed icons in .png format in 7 sizes.
- Square icons in .png format in 6 sizes.
- Square feed icons in .png format in 6 sizes.
- All icons in vector format in 1 .svg file.
Updated as of 1 December 2008: The .zip file now also includes a handy readme.txt file to tell you how to use the icons!
Thanks so much for sharing your work! The icons look great!

You’re very welcome, Julia! So glad you enjoyed them. :)
Great thanks!
Very, very cool. These have such a clean, shiny look to them. (And, as many knitters are like trout, shiny is good. :o) Thanks so much!
You’re both very welcome! Thanks for your support. :)
ooh, pretty Ravelry buttons.

I’m very glad you liked them!
Great looking buttons! Thanks for sharing :)
“…it might be neat to be able to offer your readers a link to the RSS feed of your profile page.”
Wondering how do you do that? I can’t find it in the
rav wiki.
Hi Marn,
I think I must have been referring to the ‘projects’ page, in which case you can get the RSS feed from the orange icon at the top right of your projects page. There are instructions in the readme file. It’s quite neat to be able to subscribe to new projects from Ravelers you like, if you don’t check your ‘friends’ page often. :)
Love the icons! Unfortunately there was no .txt file in the folder I downloaded.
Thank you so much for providing these!!
Thanks! Your Ravelry icons are very sweet!
thank you for sharing these ravelry buttons. :)
Thanks for sharing, these are really great!
I used them to modify the jSocial jQuery plugin to include ravelry.

Thank you!
Thanks so much for making these! I was hoping for a Ravelry icon when I signed up for a new blog. You can see it in action here:

Nice WIPs! I just got vintage paetrtn book with a cute dolman sleeved sweater in it it’s such a cute style. Isn’t Ravelry amazing? I love the integration of everything as you describ, and the forums are the best I’ve seen anywhere. I’m even more obsessed with knitting now than I was before. I didn’t think that was possible. Time suck aside, it’s an incredible resource.
These are great! Any chance you’d add one with a “+” sign for using as a firefox favicon with the “add to ravelry” script?
wow, thank you so much for posting these! You just saved me a lot of time. ;-)

Thank you for the lovely buttons! Cant wait to pop them on my blog…! :D
Thanks so very much for these gorgeous icons, I’m in the process of reviving my dusty, neglected blog, and all things ravelry/knitting/crocheting will become a major part, so a ravelry icon was on top my of list to add :)
Hi,
Please excuse me if it seems as though I’m being ungrateful that you’ve provided the ravelry icons, but I love that you made them so much that I wish there was a vector eps version I could download, for a business card I’m putting together for a ravelry member. Would it be rude to ask if you have an eps of ‘ravelryfeed’ version of the icon? I could vector the png, but yours are so awesome that I thought I would ask you first. If you don’t feel comfortable with the request I completely understand.
Thanks,
Sherif
